Who we are

Vivax Ventures is based in Lappeenranta, Finland. We are responsible for the personal information we receive when you email us. For questions about this policy or your information, contact contact@vivax.vc.

What we receive

People contact us by email. We receive your email address and any information you choose to include, such as your name, company details, message, pitch deck or other attachments. You do not have to send us this information, but we need a way to reach you if you want a reply. The website does not have a contact or pitch form.

When you visit the site, your browser also sends ordinary request information, such as an IP address and browser details, to the services that deliver the pages and fonts.

Why we use it

We read and respond to emails, consider potential investments and other business relationships, and keep related correspondence. Our basis for doing this is our legitimate interest in communicating with people who contact us and evaluating opportunities. We may also keep or use information where a legal obligation applies.

Website services

Vercel hosts this website, and Google Fonts supplies its typefaces. Your browser connects to those services when it loads the site. See Vercel’s privacy notice and Google Fonts’ privacy information for details about their processing, including any processing outside the European Economic Area.

We do not use visitor analytics, advertising trackers or a CRM on this site. The site does not set its own cookies. Following a LinkedIn link takes you to LinkedIn, which has its own privacy practices.

Who handles emails

Our team members who need to deal with an enquiry can access the email. We use Google Workspace to receive, store and reply to messages and attachments. Google processes this information to provide that service; its data processing terms describe its handling of customer data, including possible processing outside the European Economic Area.

How long we keep emails

We keep emails and attachments while we handle your enquiry or assess an opportunity. For opportunities we decide not to pursue, we normally delete the related emails and pitch materials about two years after our last contact. If discussions continue or we invest, we may keep the correspondence for the relationship and for any applicable legal or business record requirements. You can ask us about information relating to you using the address above.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may ask to access, correct, erase, restrict or receive a copy of your personal information, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Contact us at contact@vivax.vc. You can also complain to the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman or another relevant data protection authority.

We will update this policy if our practices change. The date above shows when it was last revised.
